With an optional add on of an extra 2 nights integration for a 6 night retreat experience.
There will be time to explore ways of relaxing and resting deeply and looking at ways to create new healthy habits for a well rested life.
Together with the beautiful and tranquil Scottish countryside, a magical luxurious venue, delicious and healthy meals, inspiring and informative group sessions and time just to be.
You will leave refreshed, rested and calm in body, mind and soul with a greater sense of clarity.

I created this retreat for women like you….
Many years ago I was exhausted, tests showed I was in adrenal fatigue and the advice was to radically change my life style or risk chronic fatigue or other health conditions. I was already working in health & wellbeing, it was a surprise to me that I wasn’t actually looking after myself and my energy as well as I thought I was.
This was a beginning of my rest journey. An exploration into how to rest.
Resting, surely that should be the easiest thing in the world?
Well potentially yes but … sometimes the habit of being busy, always switched on, constantly reacting to life is so strong that rest feels elusive. We sit down to rest but before we know it we unconsciously reaching for our phone or watching something on TV that is far from restful or our mind is racing and constantly turning over the events of the day or worrying about a life challenge or difficulty. Our nervous system may be in ‘fight or flight’ so when we rest it can feel challenging. Are we actually resting?
For me I found resting at home particularly challenging as a business owner and mum of two, home was a place where there was always something to be done. I’d try to meditate aware there was a pile of ironing to be done or it was time to get dinner on.
Then there is the messaging and beliefs we’ve picked up about rest and self care. I often felt guilty if I wasn’t doing something and trying to rest when thinking you really shouldn’t be isn’t ideal.
One of the places I was able to find deep rest and retrain my strung out nervous system was on retreat. To have some time completely removed from my day to day, where I didn’t have to plan dinner and the only ‘work’ to be done was to rest and allow and heal was a game changer for me.
The other life changing thing I discovered on retreat is although being still can be challenging, and indeed sometimes we use life to distract us from our truth, when we can learn to sit with ourselves without the constant distractions, if we can come to stillness the answers we seek become louder, we tune into our intuition and the way forward more easily makes itself known.
That experience, and all I learned from it together with all the knowledge I have gained in training in many healing modalities over the years I want to share with you. I’ve allowed myself to rest, to explore different ways of resting, in nature, on retreat, with various tools & techniques. I’ve developed an intimate experience of stillness and silence beyond the noise of the world and I want to share my insights and experiences with you. I want you to feel well rested too and to see you in the joy of living your life from a well rested place. I want you to meet your well rested woman.

Often the messaging we hear around us and sometimes inside our own head regarding rest is one of pushing through, being busy all the time, there isn’t enough time to rest or maybe you feel guilty prioritising yourself. Subconscious Reprogramming
30 days before the beginning of your retreat you will be sent a deeply relaxing hypnotherapy audio to listen to regularly before your retreat. Your hypnotherapy audio will help you begin to relax and prepare for your retreat experience. Hypnotherapy is a wonderful way to help you make significant and positive changes in a relatively short period of time. The hypnotherapy audio will help you look forward to a well rested future and is deeply nourishing. It might be lovely to listen do as you drift off to sleep.

Group Sessions
Each morning will begin with gentle movement and meditation.
Following this we will gather for a leisurely and nourishing breakfast.
Following breakfast there will be a group activity giving you the afternoon free. This can be time for a relaxing massage, a bath or a nap, a stroll in the beautiful gardens or whatever feels good for you.

Meet the Team
Retreat Host Suzi Gibson
Suzi has spent the last 20 years in health & wellbeing. From running a busy wellbeing centre in Edinburgh, Suzi now runs A Wee Retreat a wellbeing studio in the Scottish Borders town of Peebles. Suzi is passionate about providing people with the space & skills to relax and find peace & contentment in life. A natural nurturer, Suzi is an expert at creating a relaxing space for you to just be.
Trained in Psychotherapeutic Counselling, Transformational Coaching, Business Coaching & Consulting, Mindfulness, Meditation, Hypnotherapy, Reiki, Yoga, Breathwork, Mind Detox & EFT.
Suzi will be facilitating group activity sessions during the retreat and will always be on hand to ensure you are well looked after.
Suzi will be supported by other team members. All there to support a wonderful retreat experience for you.
Retreat Chef Charlotte-Jayne Ray
Having had the desire to travel early on, I spent three years exploring the world before I landed a job on-board an environmental research ship as Chef.
I worked for six years sailing the high seas before deciding to start my own venture in Aberdeen, a food van on the beach, and to cater for wellness retreats.
I completed my yoga teacher training and enjoy my meditation and yoga practices.
I am also studying English Literature to further my passion for reading and writing. I enjoy being out in nature and hiking with my dog, cold water swimming and of course cooking for my friends and family.
Massage Therapist Hayley Gardiner
You have the option of booking a massage with our wonderful massage therapist Hayley. A great way to unwind & rest! Hayley is qualified in Remedial and Sports, Deep Tissue Massage, Myofascial Release and Hot/Cold Stone therapy. Hayley creates bespoke treatments informed by a mix of these modalities to bring a sense of deep calm, reduce stress and tension, restore balance and encourage ease of movement. When you receive your pre retreat questionnaire you will have the option to book a wonderful treatment with Hayley.
Retreat Support Laura Swan
Retreat support will be provided by Laura Swan. Laura has been an integral part of the Wee Retreat team since the beginning. We have collaborated on many events together and Laura has experienced our Retreats first hand. Laura’s warm welcoming and joyful presence will be a wonderful addition to your retreat experience.

DRIVE from Edinburgh City Centre the drive is approximately 1 hour & 50 mins, 77 miles.
AIR from Edinburgh airport 69 miles, approx 1 hour & 30 mins drive.
RAIL the nearest train station is Crianlarich which is approx 17 miles and a 25 minute taxi ride from our venue. We can provide recommended local taxi company details so you can arrange your transfer.
Arrive from 4pm on Day 1 and have afternoon tea and settle in to your gorgeous home for the next few days.
Depart by 11am on Day 5 after a nourishing breakfast for the 4 night retreat.

On the scenic banks of Loch Tay, this exclusive-use property offers the perfect setting for your retreat. Step into a luxurious country house in Scotland that’s steeped in history, where you will make unforgettable memories, new friends and experience the transformation of the retreat. Enjoy cosy surroundings, breathtaking views (from the hot tub perhaps!) and time spent together.
Each perfectly appointed bedroom has a modern ensuite bathroom. Each bedroom is named after a local bird – Kestrel, Pheasant, Ptarmigan, Robin, Golden Eagle, Osprey, Peregrine, Heron, Swan, Merlin, Kingfisher, Snowy Owl and Mallard.
There are many social spaces and it’s always possible to find a quiet moment in the Library or by the fire. Outdoors offers even more: we will gather around the fire pit, explore the enchanted forest, burns and bridges, and unwind in a luxurious jacuzzi hot tub.
